Dresses of Hope
Matthew 25
"The King will say to those on his right,'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me some thing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me some thing to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'
Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did you see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'
The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."

Total Number of Dresses
Just wanted to update all of you with the total number of dresses made. We sent 158 to Haiti. Then, we sent 87 to Mexico, which leaves us with a total of 245 dresses since we started last September!!! Very exciting. We have alot of different sewing options for our next batch of dresses. But, I don't know for sure where the dresses are going yet. Possibly Ethiopia or India. Keep posted for upcoming sewing days.

A Giving Heart
This is the train that the sweet girl gave me.
Here is the girl.
On Monday, of my trip to Mexico, we went to Rio 3, which means river in spanish. The people there are in complete poverty and have very little food and clothing. As we were passing out bracelets, one of the girls handed me her newly painted train, which I could tell she was very proud of. She has very little, but her heart is full of generosity. That little girl at Rio 3 opened my eyes to see her giving heart shining.
As you can see there is garabage everywhere.
The kids have so much joy even though they have very little.

Mexico
Hi Everbody,
Sorry for not blogging for a while, my summer has been really busy.In early July my mom and I are going to Mexico as some of you know, to work with orphans and also we will personally be able to hand deliver the dresses. Our goal is to sew 75 dresses. Please keep us in your prayers as we prepare to leave.

It's Growing
Hey Guys, just thougt I'd let you know that Dresses of Hope is expanding to a few states. One of my friends heard about what we were doing and got inspired to launch a dress ministry at her church in St. Louis. This summer she is going on a mission trip to work with orphans in Kenya and is going to hand deliver dresses that she made to the children. I also just found out that a lady in our church has told her mom who lives in Florida, about it and is going to make dresses for Dresses of Hope and ship them to us.
Wow, what a blessing!!! Thanks to all of the people who have given contributions and sewn dresses for Dresses of Hope. Your hard work is greatly appreciated by the girls that will wear them.
